One of the biggest controversies to hit the Oscars was when Marlon Brando rejected the award for The Godfather and sent a native American woman, Sacheen Littlefeather in his place, to read a speech that blasted Hollywood for its treatment of Native Americans in the film.As the lady delivered the speech, the hall erupted and resounded with the sound of boos coming from the audience.
